Activate an extension's license key under Theme My Login → Licenses in your WordPress Dashboard. An active license turns on automatic updates.

Activate your license

Your license keys are in your purchase receipt and under Your Account → License Keys. Each extension has its own key. In your WordPress Dashboard:

  1. Go to Theme My Login → Licenses.
  2. Paste the key into the field for the extension.
  3. Click "Activate".

The status next to the key changes to "Active". Activating registers your site with the license, so there's nothing to enter on our site.

If you bought a bundle, use the key listed for each extension under "Bundle Licenses" in your account, not the bundle's own key.

Staging and local sites

Copies of your site that are clearly not live don't count toward your activation limit. That includes localhost, private network IP addresses, .local and .test domains, and dev., staging., test. and beta. subdomains.

Managing your sites

Each license in Your Account → License Keys has a Manage Sites link listing the sites it's active on. Click "Deactivate" next to a site to free up its activation.

You can also add a site there by hand. Enter the site's address, such as example.com, not your license key.

Error messages

"Your license key has reached its activation limit."

The license is already active on as many sites as it allows. Deactivate it on a site you no longer use, either from Theme My Login → Licenses on that site or from Manage Sites in your account, then activate it again. To use it on more sites, click View Upgrades next to the license in your account.

"Invalid license."

The key doesn't match the extension. Copy it again from your account, and make sure it's in the field for the extension it was bought for.

"Your license key expired on …"

Renew it with the Renew license link next to the license in your account, then click "Activate" again.

"Your license key has been disabled."

The license was revoked, usually because its order was refunded. Contact support if you think that's a mistake.

"You are attempting to activate a bundle license."

You entered a bundle's key. Use the key for the individual extension, listed under "Bundle Licenses" in your account.

"An error occurred, please try again."

Your site didn't get an answer from thememylogin.com. Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, ask your host whether your server can make outgoing HTTPS requests to thememylogin.com.

"Unable to deactivate license."

Deactivate the site from Manage Sites in your account instead.
